Army recruitment rally held in Haiderbaigh Pattan

An Army Recruitment Rally is being organised at Haiderbeig, Pattan from 10 July to 16 July 2019 covering the districts of Bandipore, Kupwada, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Srinagar, Budgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Anantnag and Kulgam.

A total of 5366 candidates from all parts of valley have registered for the event. Brigadier Jagdeep Dahiya, Deputy Director General Recruiting, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir, while briefing media persons at the rally site informed that the candidates are being screened for their physical fitness, medical examination and documentation. Successful candidates will then undergo written test on 28th Jul and 25 Aug 2019.

Candidates selected will be then inducted into various arms and services of the Army. This will go a long way in meeting the aspirations of the youths of the areas who wish to join the Army and serve the nation. The recruitment process is totally computerized and is absolutely transparent. Special emphasis is being laid to mark all candidates understand this process and thus they dont fall prey to touts and undesirable elements.

The rally is being organised by Army Recruitment Office, Srinagar. The overall responsibility for conduct of rally is by 29 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion/ Headquarters 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles/ Counter Insurgency Force(K) under the arrangements of Headquarters 15 Corps with assistance from civil administration of Baramulla district . There would be more similar rallies to give greater opportunity to all aspirants of Jammu and Kashmir state. The rally is a step by the Army to ameliorate the conditions of unemployed youth of Kashmir region. The huge turnout for recruitment reflects the interest shown by the youth for a career in the Army. Brigadier Jagdeep Dhaiya, Deputy Director General Recruitment( Punjab and J&K) expressed satisfaction and deep gratitude to local army formation and civil authorities for overwhelming support and cooperation in the smooth and efficient conduct of this recruitment rally which is attended by large number of candidates.
