On Saturday afternoon, food packets were provided in Srinagar and adjacent areas of city to truck drivers, non kashmiri labourers who were working in the city and did not have food to eat and proper protective gear for safety.

A businessman turned politician and social activist Mohammed Anwar Khan steps forward to provide food and medical protective gear to daily wagers, homeless and other people affected by the lockdown imposed in Jammu & Kashmir in view of the coronavirus pandemic.

The social activist Khan distributed food packets to homeless people at Srinagar and adjacent areas in neighbouring Pulwama and Budgam districts on Saturday.

The senior leader of BJP and social activist Khan reached out to people affected by the lockdown, especially daily wagers,non local labourers and local needy and provided them food and hand sanitizer,masks and other protective gear.

On Saturday food packets, masks,hand sanitizers and gloves were provided at national high way to truck drivers who were working in the city and did not have food and proper protective gear.

“We feel that as human beings, it’s our responsibility to help the most vulnerable amongst us in their time of need. We appeal to all citizens of Jammu & Kashmir to join in our efforts. We also request the state government to put in place a safety net for those who have lost work during the lockdown,” Senior leader BJP and Social Activist Mohammed Anwar Khan said.
