The Socio-Political Activist from small hamlet Dab-Ganderbal Agha Syed Karar Hashmi in an appeal to worthy Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal, to demolish all the illegal structures Constructed near Nallah-Sind and other places in central Kashmir Ganderbal with an aim to preserve flora and fauna of the area as a whole.

Hashmi added that everything is open to witness that large number of illegal constructions have already come up in road sides of Srinagar Leh highway and Nallah Sindh in different places of Kangan and Gund tehsils which mostly include Hotels,Restaurants and Shops in places like Chinner, Wusan, Prang, Margund, Hayan,Surfraw, Satrina and like. Requested authorities to stop such things at earliest, otherwise law will be not more than a joke for people.

Hashmi said that already the Jammu and Kashmir High Court has prohibited any kind of construction activities on both sides of Nalla-e-Sindh by passing an order in year 2013 and had directed the state government not to carry out any construction work up to 100 meters on both sides of the Indus Canal, but unfortunately, Construction is being carried out on both sides of Nala Sindh by ignoring the directives of Honorable High Court.

Appreciated Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal for bold steps in this regard, suspended 06 six government employees over illegal construction along Nallah Sindh in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on contrary,  more steps need to be taken to demolish the existing structures constructed near river Sindh.  Syed Karar Hashmi added
