Srinagar: Pakistan Army spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor on Wednesday said that “increased cease fire violations along LoC by India indicate their frustration due to their failure in Kashmir.”
Ghafoor while taking to his Twitter handle said that the Pakistan Army shall take measures to protect innocent civilians living along LoC from Indian firing which he said was deliberately targetting them, “Increased Indian Cease Fire Violations (CFVs) indicate their frustration due to failure in IOJ&K. CFVs are being & shall always be effectively responded.
Pak Army shall take all measures to protect innocent civilians along LOC from Indian firing deliberately targeting them.” He wrote.
Indian and Pakistani armies have engaged in heavy cross-border firing, with the latter using artillery guns, along the Line of Control in a particular sector of Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the death of two Pakistani soldiers on Tuesday, officials said.
An Indian soldier was also killed in another sector during the current round of ceasefire violations.
