Jammu Police have started a Day and Night format for cricket lovers in Simbhal.
SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil flanked by SP Hqrs Jammu Aadil Hamid, SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SHO Miran Sahib HarMohinder Singh , while inaugurating the tournament has said that 32 teams from Jammu District would be participating in a knock out basis and finalist would be given a prize money of 30 thousand while runner up will get 15 thousand cash prize viz a viz other prizes and gifts for many record makers.
“We want to channelise the energy of the youth and this is a start in that direction”, SSP Jammu said.
Youngsters of area looked very enthusiastic and were thrilled to play under lights.
Opening match was played between Simbhal Youth club and Kolkatta Night riders, which was won by Simbhal Youth Club by 6 runs.
People of the town were seen spending their evening in open sky taking the pleasure of the match amid music and drum beating.
