J&K Students Association organizes Career counselling Programme in Anantanag

Jammu and Kashmir Students Association, a body of Kashmiri Students here on today organized one day career counseling Programme in Anantanag District of Southern Kashmir for the students of Science, Commerce and Class 12th. President J&K Students Association Mushtaq Ahmad besides Scholars and Students from Prestigious University AMU and Doctors were the key speakers at the programme. During the Programme Students were enlightened about the examination patterns and other related aspects by the speakers.

On the Occasion, a good number of Students across the Anantanag District participated in the programme. The other dignitaries who attended the program were Dr BM Usman, Afridi Mushtaq, Danish Khanday etc. Speakers on the Occasion informed the students about career options and job opportunities in Science and Commerce Field after Gradutation and Post Graduation.

President of Association, in his address, gave detailed information about the different educational courses available within and outside the state and motivated students to pursue higher education in top-notch universities across the globe. Mushtaq also emphasized students to dream big and stressed on the fact that the students should select educational courses based on their interest and aptitude and should not opt for courses forced on by their parent. He explained the merits of career counselling and discussed in detail about the upcoming trends and courses in Science, Humanities and Commerce Streams.

Mean J&K Joint Secretry Khadim Khan said that association has planned more such Programmes for Kashmiri Students in near Future who usually find themselves at the crossroads while planning for professional studies. He said that the the aim of the workshop was to assist the students in the choice of subjects to be taken in class 11, as the topics they study in classes 11th and 12th lay the foundation for the choice of topics in University. He said that career counselling for students at the school level can play a pivotal role in guiding them to choose the right career goal, better planning for it and give them a better future ahead.

General Secretry, J&K Students Association Junaid Rather asked the students to access JKSA website for enhancing their career opportunities and to update themselves regarding various courses. He asked the students to take advantage of the counselling sessions and take right decisions at the right time to be able to compete in the international market.
