JKSA holds Annual Meeting, discussed issues pertaining to Kashmiri students, elects President, VP and Spokesperson

Jammu and Kashmir Students Association, a body of Kashmiri Students outside here on today held an annual meeting where they discussed the present scenario and various issues faced by Kashmiri students outside valley. On this occasion, Mushtaq Ahmad was elected as President, Haroon Rashid as Vice President while as Nasir Khuehami was elected as Spokesperson of Association. Meanwhile, during the meeting, various decisions were taken in the meeting and some posts were reshuffled, Younus Rashid was elected as new Additional Spokesperson, Ansar Ahad was elected as Secretary, Khadim Khan as Joint Secretary, while as Ishfaq Ahmad was elected as Treasurer and Amir Mir as new General Secretary of Association respectively.

Association this time formally announces the names of students who shall take charge of the position assigned to them in today’s meeting. Danish Manzoor, Asif Ahmad were appointed as new coordinator’s of Punjab State while as Rameez Ahmad will assume charge as new Coordinator of Mumbai State. Asif Ahmad shall take charge as new Coordinator of Banglore, while as Adil Bashir as Coordinator of Delhi. Mehrajuddin and Danish Ahmad will assume charge of Haryana State as a State Coordinators’. They will also hold additional charge of Himachal Pradesh State. Besides, Coordinators, Mudasir Ahmad and Musadiq Ahmad were elected as Social Media Coordinators.

On this occasion activists’ of J&K, Students Association took stock of problems of Kashmiri students faced outside valley. Spokesperson of Association Nasir Khuehami said, ‘the aim of the meeting was to discuss the prevailing issues related to students and future plans of the Association and problems pertaining to the students outside the state.

He stressed that all the members of the Association must work cooperatively and must follow the decisions of the working body. He said that Association had always fought for the rights of the Kashmiri students and will always keep its hard efforts on to do so in the future too. We appealed to political leaders across the country, civil society and media persons to maintain harmony and peace amongst the people, he added.

He said that We assure all the students that JKSA will go through all the possible ways for the welfare and betterment of the students. It has been a challenging time for JKSA but we are glad that we left no stone unturned and worked aggressively and tirelessly to solve all the problems and issues of the students.

Meanwhile, Association requests state as well as centre govt to assure the safety of Kashmiri students. On the occasion future programs and events where too discussed.
