Less possibility of rains, snow across Valley on Friday: Sonum Lotus

Srinagar, Dec 03 (KNO): The weatherman on Thursday predicted light snowfall and rains from Monday, saying that there is less possibility of rain or snowfall on Friday across the Valley.

Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Director meteorological department (MeT), Sonum Lotus said that there is less possibility of rains or snowfall in the Valley tomorrow. However, he said that the weather would mostly remain cloudy throughout the day in plains while the higher reaches may receive light rain or snowfall also.

Lotus further stated that there is forecast of light to moderate rainfall or snowfall in the higher reaches of the Valley in between December 07 (Monday) and December 08 (Tuesday). “The plains would also receive light rain or snowfall during the period,” Lotus said.

Earlier, the weatherman had predicted ‘colder winter’ this year in the Valley, saying that as per the prediction, they are expecting below normal temperature this winter.

As per the MeT spokesman, the night temperature across the Valley witnessed further dip today, saying that the minimum temperature was recorded below normal in Kashmir.
