Awantipora: As the encounter between forces and militants was going on at Kulgam area of South Kashmir, in which four militants killed, a press conference was held in Awantipora by GOC victor force A. SEN GUPTA.
During the press conference SenGupta said that “forces have managed to kill four militants in an encounter at Kulgam area today, which is still underway.”
He said that joint forces are searching for the 5th militant in the area, following the killing of four militants this morning.
SenGupata further said that militants killed in encounter were ‘involved in the recent killings of civilians’ in the South Kashmir.
Earlier, encounter raged in Khurbatapora area of Kulgam, resulting in the killing of four militants in the area. Gunfight was going on when this report was filed in.
