Army Camp, Langate Celebrats : 20 Years of Kargil Vijay Diwas


Handwara : To commemorate and celebrate 20 Years of Kargil Vijay Diwas, a wreath laying ceremony was organised at Army Camp, Langate with the aim to pay homage to martyrs of Kargil War.

The troops were briefed about the sacrifices and deep devotion of our Officers, JCOs and Jawans who laid down their lives in the service of the nation to protect our motherland.

On this day, Veer Naris were also remembered who supported the cause for the nation’s victory in such a sky-high battle field of the world and prayers were offered by all ranks for their well-being.

A Documentary on ‘Kargil War’ and ‘Kargil Tribute Song’ were screened for the troops and local school chidren with the aim to establish a connect and instill pride in their minds of the feat achieved by Indian Army in Kargil War.

The environment was charged up about the heroics of Indian Army with Patriotic Fervor, Awe, Pride and Aura of Nationalism.

The Chidren also participated in drawing competition themed
Kargil War and their feelings of pride and patriotism were expressed through their drawings and the selected children were awarded with prizes.

Each one rejoiced the victory achieved and went back home treasuring the story of ‘Kargil War’ which will be etched in their hearts and minds forever.
