Army day celebrates In Chak Kigam Kupwara



Army Day was celebrated by Chak Kigam Camp under aegis of Charkut Garrison on 15 January 2021 at Kigam. To mark the occasion Army paid tribute to continuous effort of the soldiers and supreme sacrifice of the valiant soldiers by laying the wreath at war memorial. Thereafter showing respect to Indian Army cultural events focusing role of Indian Army was presented by children of Kandi and Kigam. It was heartening to see participation of children and civilians who gave speech on First Field Marshal KM Cariappa and had brought out significance of the day by presenting patriotic song, dance and skit. During the event all ex servicemen, Veer Nari and Veer Mata of the area were remembered and felicitated. Further redressal desk was open to update the issues pertaining with their documentations. Also
medical and CSD facilities were extended for them. Also to know the Army better a weapon and vehicle display was organised for the kids. At last Indian Army thanked all civilians for their participation and remembering contribution of Army.
