Uri, Aug 5 (GNS): A 10-year-old boy drowned in Jhelum river while take bath on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

They said the boy Mohammad Momeen S/o Javaid Ahmad Chalkoo, a resident of Silikote, Uri had gone to his relatives home in Gingal where he had to take bath in River Jhelum.

SHO Uri Mohammad Ashraf told GNS said that the rescue operation is on. “We have even told the NHPC to close down the dam so that his body can be retrieved, ” he said.(GNS)
