Total cases 116,254, death toll mounts to 1,802; recovery rate over 94 percent in UT

Srinagar, Dec 14 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir on Monday recorded three deaths due to COVID-19 taking the death toll to 1,802 in the Union Territory while as 246 positive cases were reported taking the tally of positive cases to 116,254 in J&K.
Of the exact number of 116,254 cases, 68,694 are from Kashmir and 47,560 from Jammu division. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 246 new cases, 120 belong to Kashmir division while as 126 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 68,694 including 65,129 recoveries and 1,152 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 47,560 including 44,765 recoveries and 650 deaths.
The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 4,558 including 2,413 from Kashmir division and 2,145 from Jammu division.
With 387 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 109,894 which is 94.52 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 58 from Srinagar, 209 from Baramulla, 16 from Budgam, 05 from Kupwara, 06 from Pulwama, 08 from Anantnag, 11 from Bandipora, 06 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 126 from Jammu division include 87 from Jammu, 07 from Udhampur, 03 from Rajouri, 0 from Doda, 04 from Kathua, 07 from Kishtwar, 04 from Samba, 00 from Poonch, 09 from Ramban and 05 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Notably, in the last 24 hours three persons who were tested positive for COVID-19 have died, among them one belong to Kashmir division and two to Jammu division.
As per media bulletin, patients who have died include one from Ganderbal in Kashmir division and two from Jammu district in Jammu division.
As per officials figures, 24,317 positive cases including 433 deaths and 22,770 recoveries are from Srinagar, 7,746 including 169 deaths and 7,381 recoveries are from Baramulla, 7,327 including 6,935 recoveries and 105 deaths are from Budgam, 5,372 including 5,109 recoveries and 88 deaths are from Kupwara, 5,300 including 88 deaths and 5,047 recoveries are from Pulwama, 4,667 including 4,483 recoveries and 82 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,548 cases including 4,378 and 57 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,358 including 4,225 recoveries and 41 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,628 including 2,509 recoveries and 52 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,431 including 2,292 recoveries and 37 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 22,257 including 21,123 recoveries and 332 deaths are from Jammu district, 3,956 including 3,630 recoveries and 53 deaths are from Udhampur, 3,705 including 3,420 recoveries and 53 deaths are from Rajouri, 3,296 including 3,101 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Doda, 3,021 including 2,859 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kathua, 2,671 including 2,502 recoveries and 21 deaths are from Kishtwar, 2,627 including 2,376 recoveries and 34 deaths are from Samba, 2,420 including 2,368 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Poonch, 2,040 including 1,940 recoveries and 21 deaths are from Ramban and 1,567 including 1,446 recoveries and 11 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin, 831,007 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 22,094 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 4,558 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 773,860 persons have completed surveillance period and 28,693 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 3,366,391 samples are available.
Out of 3,366,391 the number of samples tested negative stands at 3,250,137 while as 116,254 have tested positive, among them 4,558 persons are active, 109,894 persons have recovered and 1,802 persons have died—(KNO)
