Drug free Programme held in kupwara by HAJIPIR BRIGADE and VAJRA DIVISION

Under the aegis of HAJIPIR BRIGADE and VAJRA DIVISION ,  HUMDARD-E-KUPWARA bn organised a Drug Awareness Camp in Trehgam in collaboration with NGO, Save Youth Save Future.

Dwelling on the harsh truth of drug abuse prevailing in the youth of Kashmir, this camp stressed on the impact of drugs on our youth.

The youth of Kashmir is one of the most talented lot of the country, but the use of drugs has rotten the very foundation of a bright future.

Eminent persons and youth from various walks of life came forward to share their knowledge and experiences concerning drug abuse and its ill effects with the youth of Trehgam. This camp aimed at bringing together the awam and the security forces to fight against this dreaded menace. 

The speakers included BDC Mohd Abdullah Mir, Dr Ashraf Mir, Psychologist, Mr Tauseef Raina, social activist and Ms Insha Bashir, National Women’s Cricketer from Kashmir. All speakers emphasised on choice of a right company and right guidance to children at an early age. The gathering was also mesmerised by some melodious and foot tapping performances by Saiyad and Shakeeb, budding rockstars of Kashmir.

The overwhelming response by the awam once againg testified the strong trust that the poeple of trehgam have in humdard e kupwara battalion

While addressing the media persons, Col Navalgatti, Commanding Officer expressed that the program is just a start and will go a long way in addressing the problem of drugs in Kupwara and Kashmir.
