Gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Baderhama Zawoora area in South Kashmir’s Shopian District on Wednesday
Official sources said that a joint team of Army’s 23 Paras, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Badherma Zawoora area after receiving credible inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
A senior police official said that as soon as forces intensified search operation towards spot, hiding militants fired upon forces which was retialated triggering an encounter
As per the sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
Till this report was being filed intermittent firing was going on.
