The Uplona Girls Volleyball Tournament 2020, commenced on 05 November 2020 under the aegis of Haiderbeg Sector Headquarters.

The tournament saw 6 energetic teams from 4 districts fight it out for the championship trophy. This tournament is the first of it’s kind played in Baramulla town exclusively for girls. The aim of the tournament was to motivate young girls to take up sports as a profession and to inculcate the values of sportsman spirit.
Brig NK Mishra, Commander 10 sector Rashtriya Rifles and Mr Aijaz Wani, Dean of Kashmir University North Campus were chief guests for the final.
The tournament was played on round robin format in the league stages in which two pools with three teams each played to qualify for the semi finals.
The semi finals were played on 8 November 2020 with Sets On The Beach Club and Al Jawad Sports Academy fighting it out for the finals. The final was played on 11 November 2020 between Sets on the Beach Club from Baramulla and Al Jawad Sports Academy from Ganderbal. The game commenced amid lots of enthusiasm and excitement. The match saw a number of ups and downs was a rollercoaster ride for the spectators in attendance. Both the teams displayed outstanding skills, sportsmanship and camaraderie. The five set match was well contested and it enthralled the audience till the end. The closely faught match was won by Sets on the Beach Club 3-1.
The winner and runners up teams were felicitated at the end of the tournament with individual medals and cash prizes. Miss Tankeera Majeed, Sets On The Beach Club was also awarded with the Player of the match award.
