FREE POLLUTION CHECK-UP (PUC) CAMP
28 Rashtriya Rifles organized a free Pollution Check-Up (PUC) Camp for the people of Lolab at Army Camp Krusan as part of the ongoing efforts of assisting Awam of Lolab and prove the concept of “Awam Ki Fauz”. This initiative has been undertaken as part of the Commitment to Environment safety and Ecology Conservation.
People of Lolab were facing difficulties in getting the PUC for their vehicles as they had to go to Kupwara for the same. The event was one of its kind and was conducted for the first time.
Locals were provided with a PUC certificate having details of emissions from the vehicle and guidelines to bring them within the authorized limit. They were also educated on fuel saving techniques and how to maintain their cars.
The event was highly appreciated by the locals and approximately 170 vehs gained the benefit of getting their PUC done.
