Handwara October 21: Handwara Police observed Police Commemoration Day* today on 21st October, at District Police Lines Handwara.
ASP Handwara *Shri Mashkoor Ahmad-JKPS*, other senior officers of Police District Handwara, Prara military and NOK’s of Martyred police personnel participated in the occasion for paying tributes to martyred police personnel. Rich tributes were paid to police Personnal who scarified their precious lives in the line of duty across the country.
A commemoration parade was also held as a mark of respect to the martyred police/ security officials.
ASP Handwara read over the names of all Police/Security personnel who scarified their lives in the line of duty from PD Handwara.
While remembering officials from Handwara PD who laid down their lives during the past one year, ASP Handwara said that the country is indebted to all these martyrs and will always remember their sacrifices for upholding the rule of law and ensuring safety and security of the people.
Expressing solidarity with the families of the martyrs, he said that the administration will attend to their problems on priority and ensure that benefits of all welfare schemes percolate to them without any kind of delay.
ASP Handwara directed all the subordinate officers to promptly attend to the issues of families of the slain policemen on priority so that they may not face any inconvenience.
