Baramulla , July 15 : Heavy rains and hailstorm damaged crops in Zaingeer Belt including Duroo, Botingoo,Dangerpora,Warpora,Watlab and Rafiabad belt in North Kashmir Baramulla district on monday evening destroyed various crops .
People in Zaingeer belt told INS that heavy rains, wind and hailstorm, which started today continued for half an hour and having complete darkness for ten minutes resulting in damage to Both Houses crops and various kind of fruits and vegetables.
Reports said fruit orchards suffered extensive damages after gusty winds followed by rain and hailstorm across the belt . Many poplar trees and walnut trees were uprooted due to strong wind.
However no loss of any life or injury was reported from anywhere in the district.
