Kupwara, July 23 (KNO): The armies of India and Pakistan on Thursday evening exchanged gunfire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowgam sector of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the Pakistan army on Thursday evening resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along LoC in Nowgam sector in Handwara Kupwara district.

Army spokesperson said that Pakistani troopers on Thursday evening resorted to “heavy shelling and fire” on Indian Army posts, which was retaliated effectively.

Pertinently, this was the second time within a week, when India and Pakistani troops exchanged gunfire along the LoC in Nowgam sector—(KNO)
