Calls this move Undemocratic & anti-people.
Socio-Political Activist from Pulwama Mudasir Dar here on today lashed out at the Union Territory administration of J&K for issuing domiciles to the retired solidiers and officers from gorkha community and other non residents of Kashmir.
In a statement Mudasir said that ” The current circumstances expect a substantial approach from the UT administration and , such steps will lead to the further deterioration of already deteriorated state”
When the whole population of Kashmir is going through the toughest of circumstances, fighting different battles at a time, without an elected legislature, how can such steps be democratic? He questioned
Instead of such unnecessary steps central government should concentrate on the winning the Hearts and minds of people of Jammu and Kashmir ,and initiate the early political process in the UT.He added ,Such developments add to the alienation among the people of J&k.
Issuing domiciles to the non residents or outsiders and allowing them to buy land and apply for jobs across Jammu & Kashmir will have serious repercussions. Mudasir added.
Pertinent to mention that over 6600 domicile certificates were issued so far among them were former officers, retired Soliders and officers from gorkha community.
