The festival of Janmashtami, commemorating the birth anniversary of Krishna, was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety in Jammu and Kashmir at homes followed by Government orders since early this morning. Kashmiri Pandiths Celebrate Holy festival in Colonies to pay their obeisance to Krishna on the occasion of Janmashtami.
“Janmashtami is a very significant festival in the Hindu religion and every year, I, along with my family, make sure to pay obeisance at the temple but due to pandemic deadly disease we follow orders issued by goverment wear Masks Gloves and celeberate janamastami at homes as a preventive measure ” a devotee Rohit Raina and Sanjay raina ji said. Children dressed in colourful attires as Krishna and Radha while some people celebrated the day by flying kites on their rooftops. On Tuesday, special shobayatras were held to mark the occasion.
“ we held a shoba yatra number of devotees participated and today we have decorated the temples located inside colonies and devotees come to pay their respects here.
Rohit ji told on this occasion we offered bajans and prayed this pandemic will end soon.
