Govt trying to provide platform to youth: Sarmad Hafeez

Jammu, Dec 15 (KNO): Bollywood director, producer and writer, Imtiaz Ali on Tuesday said that nobody can complete the artistic talent being found in Jammu and Kashmir.

While interacting with media persons in Jammu, Imtiaz Ali, who was accompanied by the Secretary Tourism, Culture & Youth Services & Sports, Sarmad Hafiz said that the youth in Jammu and Kashmir should come forward and express themselves positively.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Ali said that he was lucky enough to get a chance to shoot a movie in Jammu and Kashmir, adding that the Jammu and Kashmir is blessed with artistic talent and nobody from outside J&K can compete the artistic talent found in the newly carved Union Territory.

“The government is coming up with new plans for the youth. I appeal the youth to come forward and express yourself positively and take the J&K to the positive direction,” he said, adding that he would be part of the plans being formed to provide platform to the youth who have got talent in any discipline.

“There are many musical instruments which are not being used at present. Will try to revive it in the new plans,” he said, adding that at present he at present has no plans to shoot a movie here.

Meanwhile, Sarmad Hafeez said the youth has got a lot of talent in Jammu and Kashmir and the government was trying to give the youth a proper platform.

“We have already started lot of programmes in this regard. Cultural festivals and other festivals are being organized to highlight the talent of the youth,” he said, adding that the government is trying to provide platform to the youth especially those who are in theatre, music and other related things to ensure that they will do their best—(KNO)
