Srinagar, July 02:(GNS) CRPF personnel who was earlier critically injured succumbed to his injuries after a gunfight broke out between militants and forces in Malbagh area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
A senior Police officer told GNS that critically wounded CRPF personnel succumbed to his injury here in a hospital.
Meanwhile one militant has been killed in the encounter, searches still going on.
Earlier, A joint team of Police and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Malbagh.
As the joint team approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter.(GNS)
