Poonch, July 07 (KNO): The body of a missing boy from Surankote area of Poonch was recovered on Tuesday, officials said.
Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a boy who was missing from last nine days was found dead in Poonch river. The deceased has been identified as Salim Ahmed, son of Khadam Hussain of Mohra Bachai village of Surankote in Poonch district.
Police said that the boy had left home on June 28 to play cricket and didn’t return following which a missing report was lodged by the family.
“On Tuesday, his body was found in Poonch river,” police officials said, adding that investigation into the matter has been started—(KNO)
