“Mughal Road Should be linked with National Highway”. Bashir Ahamd Bashir Kashmir All Valley President demands Said

Sopore: Hundreds of members from different firms hold Sit demonstration at Asia’s Second largest fruit Mandi Sopore on Friday morning. 

The Protestors hold Sit Dharna against Daily blockade of Srinagar Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The Protestors chanting Slogans and demanding immadate revocation of restrictions order. 

Reports suggested said that scores of members of varuois firms including Traders federation Sopore,Kashmir Valley fruit Growers, Civil society Sopore, Sopore Economic Alliance, Northern Pharmaceutical Distributors Association and industrial Estate Sopore, buyers Association Sopore, fruit association Baramulla joined this Dharna at Fruit Mandi Sopore.

Protesters Chanting Slogans and demanding immediate revocation of order from authorities. The Protestors holding play cards said that this is cheer injustice with us from 1947 this is first time central Government imposed ban on National highway it may prove costly for the fruit industry in Kashmir valley as well as effected economic.

Mudasir Ahmad Buyers association President fruit Mandi Sopore told KNO “We are not Against Yatra, But Our Business is Suffering”-Sopore Fruit Mandi Protests Against Highway Ban. He said.

President fruit growers and dealers association Sopore Fayaz Ahmad Malik said that due to the restrictions on public transport, the distribution of early varieties of Apples and other fruits and vegetables were badly affected as trucks remain halted on highway for many days which resulting in loses to the Industry.

Bashir Ahamd Bashir Kashmir All Valley President, said that the traders are not against Amarnath yatra or the yatris, but the government should have set up a mechanism in order to ensure free movement of public transport on the highway
