J&K Students Association, a body of kashmiri Students here on today clarified that there is no division among Kashmiri students in Aligarh Muslim University. In a Statement Spokesperson of Association Nasir Khuehami said that No student from kashmir is going to Boycott Sir Syed Day Event. He said that Some Student leader making false statement to draw Political mileage.

Khuehami said that, there is no division among the kashmiri students. Sajad subhan is the ex-VP of the AMUSU not the leader of kashmiri students. His personal opinion don’t reflect and represent the collective opinion of kashmiri students at AMU. Taking refuge in kashmiri struggle to foster his aspiration of political career is condemning, he said.

He said that, he often uses Kashmiri students for his opportunistic politics and we refuse to be part of that propaganda. He has no right, whatsoever, to represent us and whatever statement he issues represents his personal stand not the collective stand of the Kashmiri students. It’s dictatorial and goes against the democratic ethos.

He said that, There is no sense in boycotting Sir Syed Day, Moreover, no individual has the right to take decisions on behalf of any group. A decision has sanctity only if it has been taken collectively, he added. Sir Syed Day is a very auspicious day highly revered and respected by the Aligh fraternity across the globe, he further added.
