Hajjin, Dec 19 : An Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) trooper deployed on election duty suffers massive heart attack in north Kashmir’s Hajjin village.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that on duty ITBP trooper suffered a massive heart attack and fell unconscious on ground.
However, he was rushed to nearby hospital in a critical condition for advanced treatment.
A police officer also confirmed to Kashmir Despatch and identified him as Ajay of 18 Bravo company. The office said he was on election duty at Hakbara area of Hajjin.
Pertinently, State Election Commissioner (SEC) KK Sharma Saturday said that the maiden DDC election, the last phase of which was held today, was a “major success” saying “all the stakeholders including voters took an active part” in conducting it.
