Congress leader noted social activist Altaf Malik has expressed grave concern over the deteriorated power situation across kashmir in ongoing chilled winters i have received dozens of phone calls from rafiabad especially from upper areas over power fee hike disconnection & prolonged cuts . he( altaf ) said that the unscheduled , prolonged power cuts hike in fee adds more miseries in the lives of common people daily rated labourers are the worst sufferers these people are unable to pay huge power amounts at this stage when the labouring opportunities are zero in kashmir during winters altaf added & reiterated that last year 2020 has affected the livelihood of labourers transporters marginalized farmers growers artisans small businessmen tourism due to covid pandemic & lockdowns altaf urged government to ensure the scheduled power supply across kashmir rollback the anti poor power fee hike order & stop disconnection till march end so people take some relief during on going chilly days also give full concession to BPL & daily rated labour families
