Srinagar, July 20 (KNO): Over ten thousands rupees were realized from 82 persons for violating the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal, Khalil Poshwal in a tweet informed that 82 persons have been fined so far for not wearing face masks in the district.
“82 persons fined with realisation of Rs.10,500/- for not wearing masks in District Ganderbal by Police. More aggressive approach shall be adopted,” SSP tweeted.
Officials said that those who were fined were found without face masks in the public places. “Prevention is must and many people were not abiding by the norms as required,” they said—(KNO)
