Sopore residents aghast over additional charge given to officer for EO MC

Sopore Apr 05 (KNO): The residents of Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district here have expressed resentment against the authorities for transferring the Executive Officer Municipal Council and giving additional charge to another officer.

According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), former Executive Officer, Ghulam Rasool Shah was on April 03 transferred

from the post of Executive Officer Sopore while another officer has been given additional charge to the post.

The inhabitants of Sopore here have expressed anguish over his trsnsfer and demanded authorities to appoint any officer for the post and not to give additional charge to any of the officer to ensure the work will not get affected.

The locals said that in absence of proper Executive Officer, they have been facing hardships as the work has got affected amid the outbreak of deadly Coronavirus.

Sopore Civil Society, Trade and other civil organization also lashed out at the govt for what they termed as step-motherly treatment meted out to Sopore residents.

They demanded government to appoint proper officer for the post and put an end to the additional charge syndrome here so that the work will not get affected—(KNO)
