Srinagar, Dec 05 (KNO): Amid the rising tendency of suicide in the valley, a 25-year-old engineering student Shadab Banday has taken it to himself to bring a smile in people’s lives.
Banday, a resident of Soura Srinagar is a youtube entertainer who “vines and roast” for the sole propose of entertainment.
Talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Banday said that he started the roasting and vines a couple of years back, only to bring a smile on people’s depressing lives.
“Initially, the audiences (social media users) used to criticise me by using provocative words but with time people understood my purpose,” Banday, who works with a private company in Bangalore said.
Banday said in comparison to other places, roasting in Kashmir is very difficult, as one has to be very cautious of not hurting anyone’s sentiments.
“In roasting the content creators at times have to use kind of abusive words so you have to be very cautious of not breach the societal sentiments,” he said.
However, Banday said that with time and exposure, viewers have started to take all the content for entertainment purposes only, which is actually the aim of a content creator.
About the recent video highlighting the loopholes of PDD and mistakes of the consumer during the winter season, Banday said that the video received an unexpected response from people. ” Even the officials appreciated it, ” he said—(KNO)
