Training of Youth – for The Army, by The Army


A Pre Recruitment Rally over two days was organised by Army in Kalaroos, Kupwara for upcoming Army Recruitment Rally scheduled in May.

It was aimed at identifying potential youth willing to join Army and meet the minimum requisite standards. Total of 157 youth participated in the event. All were tested for basic physical and medical mandatory tests. Total of 47 youth were shortlisted for further training over the period of two months. Balance of youth who fell short in minimum standards were motivated to overcome their shortcomings and be part of next programs.
Focus of training by Army would be on improving overall physical standards and prepare them for written test so as to make them better prepared for the Recruitment Rally.

The enthusiasm and josh exhibited by the youth was remarkable and everyone tried their best to outshine each other. The spirit of competitiveness was on display for everyone to witness. The sheer numbers were indicative of high levels of patriotism and love for Army and their Heroes in Uniform .

The initiative of Humdard-E-Kupwara Battalion was appreciated by the youth and they thanked Army for providing an opportunity to them to train themselves and be better prepared to make their dream of joining the Profession of Arms a reality.
