Jammu, Dec 26 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have busted a module of militant outfit The Resistance Front (TRF) by arresting two youth hailing from Kashmir Valley.

The duo as per the officials was arrested in Jammu with arms and ammunition has been recovered from their possession.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu, Mukesh Singh told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Jammu Police busted TRF module and recovered one AK series rifle, one pistol, two magazines of AK series, 60 AK rounds,15 pistol rounds from the possession of two suspects identified as Raees Ahmad Dar and Subzar Ahmad Sheikh—residents of Kashmir.

“Duo were aboard the Alto car bearing registration number JK18A 9967 at check point Narwal on Friday evening.” he said, adding that a case under FIR number 359/20 under section 120-B/121/121-A/122 IPC, 7/25 A. Act, 18/20/38/39 Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), 1967 has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation is taken up.

The official sources, however, informed that police is probing possible angle of weapon smuggling after air dropping along IB in Jammu and some more detentions would be made likely during the investigation of this case—(KNO)
