Rajouri, Dec 09 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 385 grams of heroin from their possession in Rajouri district of Jammu division.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), officials identified the arrested persons as Mohammad Arif, son of Mohammad Ikhlaq Khan of Dabbi Balakote in Poonch and Mohammad Asif, son of Mohammad Khalil of Samattee Challas in Doongi area of Rajouri.
Police said that a team headed by Incharge Police Post Rajouri, SI Danish Maqbool and SHO Rajouri Sameer Jillani under the supervision of DSP Hqrs Rajouri Vinod Kumar were on routine patrolling in Tandwal Thandikassi area of Rajouri highway when two pedestrians moving suspiciously were intercepted.
During their frisking, 385 grams of Heroin like substance was recovered from their possession after which duo were arrested on the spot.
Police informed that a case under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Rajouri while further investigation is going on—(KNO)
