Sopore July 29:Unheard Voices, here in Sopore held An Open Mic Session with the tag ” Alfazu Ka Safar ” for Young writers of Kashmir Valley at Zero Miles Grill And Cafe, Sopore town where Dozens of eminent poets and writers from across the valley participated. The session buzzed with literary discussions and creative writing for long day.
Well known personalities including RJ Rafia , Taha Naqash And Saheem Bukhari were invited as the guests of honour for the event, who encouraged the your artists to come up with more and add good content to the literary sect.
In the Event Several writers from three prime languages of the state; Kashmiri, Urdu, and English narrated their works. The Founder Of Unheard Voices Mr Huzaif Bukhari said the session was aimed not only to regain the lost utility of our social spaces but also to provide a platform for aspiring writers. The participants described the event as a very important and successful activity which helped them a great deal in understanding literary trends and discuss language issues.
RJ Rafia on the occasion said that Such events should be held from time to time as these afford us opportunities to communicate with our youth in a direct and unhindered manner. She spoke about modern trends in literature. She provided a vote of thanks to Mr Huzaif Bukhari in her concluding speech by saying that Mr Huzaif is doing very good to Promote Literature in Kashmir and we need people with such mindsets who help others.
Taha Naqash, The humourous Kashmiri, a well known stand-up comedian shared his thoughts about writing and said Team Unheard Voices is doing a commendable job by providing the platform where the young writers of valley can come up and add up their contribution to the literary field.Mr Naqash in his speech thanked Huzaif Bukhari for organizing such events which are providing fruitful benefits for the youth.
Saheem Bukhari, one of the youngest published author from Kashmir Valley who was also Guest of honour on the ocassion shared his experiences with the various writer’s and poets’ and interacted with the participants. He advised young and budding writers to study literature of other languages to sharpen their writing skills. He said this was a good initiative by the Unheard Voices And I’m thankful to Huzaif Bukhari who invited me and was pleased to have visited the writers at the event and listen to their verses and prose.
Speaking to the Reporters on the Sidelines of Event Founder Of Unheard Voices Mr Huzaif Bukhari said this is beginning of a new journey. We intend to hold such events in future also. We had done two events before ” Speak Your Heart Out” And ” Blast Your Past ” and they went allahumdilla very well and we were shown so much of love by people from different areas of valley. He hoped that the young writers of valley will give more exposure to Kashmir and the Kashmiri literature at the national level in near future. He said these events wouldn’t be successful if my team wouldn’t have been framed with such beautiful souls. We all work like a family. While talking to one of the participants Miss Taskeen Un Nisa, she said she is very thankful to Mr Huzaif Bukhari who came all the wayfrom srinagar and gave them the platform to share their feelings. It was great to be part of such successful event. We have seen events happening in sopore but this one was really remarkable and seriously this will be always counted among the best. Team Unheard Voices is doing pretty good job by providing platform to young and budding writers like us.
Another participant Bareerah said I have seen events before but haven’t seen any event like ” Alfazu Ka Safar ” And Huzaif Bukhari is doing such a wonderful job by providing platform to budding writers like me. I want to end up this here Team Unheard Voices have long way to go as they are doing such a wonderful job.
Speaking at the concluding session, Prominent Poet and writer Sagar Aasif said that in holding this Event was an opportunity and was accorded to the participants to engage in creative writing and literary discourse. He said by coming in contact with each other and putting up together, different writers get to share ideas and experiences and adding that, it would be the Organisation’s endeavour to hold it regularly.
Among the poets and writer’s who read out their poetry included the budding English poets and Writers Sagar Asif , Taskeen Un Nisa , Bareerah , Mudabir And many more.
