Unknown persons set ablaze BJP leader’s vehicle in south Kashmir


SRINAGAR: Two vehicles (Vans) belonging to a local BJP leader were completely damaged after unknown persons set the vehicles on fire on Thursday night in Bonigam, Qazigund area of south Kashmir.

Reports said that on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday two vehicles (Vans) parked in Bonigam were torched down by the unknown persons. One of the vehicles (both vans) set ablaze belonged to local BJP leader Adil Ahmad Ganai, who was reportedly not present at his house at the time of the incident. The private vehicle of Ganai was parked outside the home. Reports suggest that incident took place around 3: 00 am near Srinagar-Jammu, a report by India Today said.

A report by India Today said that Jammu and Kashmir Police are investigating the matter. This comes days after a militant attack in Kulgam district that left five labourers from West Bengal dead.
