Uri, August 01: Residents from different areas of Uri on Saturday dedicated ‘view point’ Bilalabad, Garkote to late Zulfiqar Ali in his loving memory who died in a road accident in June.
The memory stone of the deceased was laid by senior Journalist and Editor Shaharbeen, All India Radio, Maqsood Ahmad.
“Zulfiqar was a great social worker not in Garkote village but in entire Uri. His death has left deep scars in our lives. He will always be missed,” Maqsood said.
Zulfiqar, a resident of Bilalabad, Garkote was a government teacher by profession. He was also a well known social activist in Uri sub-division.
Zulfiqar died in a road accident on 25th June in Garkote after his car skidded off the road.
People from different walks of the life attended the stone laying ceremony. General Secretary Beopar Mandal Uri Yasir Banday also attended the ceremony.
