Bandipora,13 July : Since the taking over of charge of Block Medical Officer Bandipora by Senior Specialist Dr Ashfaq Hassan, the people of Bandipora have taken a sigh of relief as the health sector had started improving at a very good pace .
In a major development a patient of OP poisoning was resuscitated in ER room of District Hospital Bandipora. According to details some days back a case with alleged history of OP poisoning was brought to the casualty of DH Bandipora with no pulse, no BP, gag reflux +ve was administered with Atropine / Stomach wash and shifted to Emergency and Subsequently Connected to Cardiac monitor as per protocol and the patient was given treatment post exigencies for 40 minutes which happened in the history of Distrct Hospital Bandipora for the first time. Otherwise such patients were routinely Reffered to Srinagar hospitals without even providing any first aid at Bandipora hospital.
After a few days the patient recovered and was seen posing in a picture with the team of Doctors who attended upon him went viral on social media and was very much praised by the residents of Bandipora area.
“It was a great pleasure for me to witness the working of Bandipora hospital where all sections /deptts were functioning smoothly to the best satisfaction of patients after a long time. However, it seems that there is dearth of vital Clinical equipments which needs to be installed on priority basis for the convenience of population connected to the area “, said a local Junaid Ahmad of the area.
It is pertinent to mention here that the major changes are being witnessed regarding work Culture and other allied functioning conditions such as wearing proper uniforms and punctuality etc by the employees of the hospital during the ongoing tenure of new BMO which are being hailed in the public sphere and the new BMO has become a ray of hope among masses of the area.
