World Day of Social Justice , was celebrated and a Gram Sabha was organised at Government High School, Manzhar on 19 Feb 2021. All Sarpanch, Ward Members and villagers of Manigah attended the event.
Mr Asif Wani, a renowned lawyer of Kupwara District Court made the gathering aware of the importance of Social Justice in day to day lives and responsibilities as a citizen.
Thereafter a Gramsabha was conducted where in Mr Sachin, JE, Kupwara Electricity Department and Mr Tayab, AEE, Water Distribution Board, Kupwara conducted an interactive session with all villagers. The villagers could understand various issues of water and electricity in Kupwara and resolve many of their queries and conceptions . The officials also educated them about the responsibilities as a citizen and how they can contribute increase efficiency of the overall system. Lastly, the villagers were educated regarding measures, schemes, initiatives taken by Govt in this regard for the benefit of people.
The locals insisted that these meetings should be held regularly to address the problems of roads, water, electricity and health issues and suggested that officials related to concerned Department should resolve their issues.
