Today, 04 July 2019, a meeting was held in Botingoo Sopore to establish Youth Sports Council in the village. The participants range from well veteran senior cricketers, young cricketers. The concept of such meeting was the brainchild of Bhat 11 Botingoo. It was the long cherished wish of Bhat 11 Botingoo to establish such a council. The main motives of the Council would be:
• To revive the lost cricketing culture in the village.
•To rejuvenate the conditions of the Botingoo Sports Field – Expansion as well as better outfield.
• To infuse the culture of Sports in youth.
• To encourage the young talent and get best out of them.
• To guide the youth towards Sports enroute to better health and adieu to bad habits.
